A
large flat area on the way to Black Soil diggings. There
is little digging to do here it is just a matter of walking
and more walking the flats to collect the small agate
protruding through the black soil. This is a late season
fossicking area as there is generally a ground covering
of herbs and grasses just after the wet season. The cattle
will eat this covering as the winter months arrive allowing
agate to be spotted more easily.
